Process Technology
Process Technology is the adaptation of chemical transformations and their translation from the laboratory bench scale into production-scale processes.
In AkzoNobel the focus is on the:
- development and scaling of viable routes; and
development and optimization of unit operations such as reaction, mixing, dispersion, separation, purification as well as methods for modeling and controlling the process.
Guided by the principles of sustainable development, it includes the consideration of diverse factors including, safety of production, the environmental impact of processes of production, the security and handling of raw materials and intermediates, the capacity and capabilities to produce, costs of production, the integration of unit operations, and the development and adoption of new technologies.
