Recommended cash offer for ICI by Akzo Nobel – Intended date of posting Scheme Document

Further to the announcement of the recommended cash offer for ICI by Akzo Nobel on 13 August 2007, ICI announces that it intends to post the Scheme Document to ICI Shareholders on 1 October 2007, on or around the same date as Akzo Nobel intends to post the Akzo Nobel Documentation to its shareholders.
The Panel has given its consent to the Scheme Document being posted on this date.
Capitalised terms used but not defined in this announcement have the same meanings as set out in the offer announcement dated 13 August 2007.
